Fight Against Shimi
Another example of a Ctarl-Ctarl's regenerative abilities is how Aisha survived Shimi's explosive whip in the fifteenth episode. Shimi may have only had an intention to incapacitate his foes but the attack still looked very powerful. Back to the lasers, in the light novel El Dorado Covered with Clouds (El Dorado refers to a planet rather than the MacDougall ship for some reason) Aisha was shot several times in her stomach with a laser rifle, hence the mention of their usefulness against Ctarl-Ctarls.

Her skin was penetrated and there's little doubt she was very vulnerable after it, but she still recovered shortly after. In the same novel this ability was likened to a battle droid's; "the only sure way to make sure they're dead is to remove or destroy the head". Jim Hawking also said something similar in the sixteenth episode when Aisha fought Lady Iraga. Worriedly he commented that even a Ctarl-Ctarl would be history if their head was smashed in. Are we still talking about Ctarl-Ctarl here or zombies?

Superhuman Strength

At one point in the show it was said that a Ctarl-Ctarl's strength is ten times a human's, but this could have been exaggerated. There's certainly some truth to it. Ctarl-Ctarls are banned from some tournaments for example and many scenes in the show have demonstrated their strength. When Aisha first met Gene at Blue Heaven she used a whip which must have been extremely heavy as it could smash through concrete with ease.

Aisha's Heavy Whip
Additionally, Aisha had no problems getting through heavy doors, shown in episodes sixteen and nineteen. It's thought that like their skin's toughness a Ctarl-Ctarl's superhuman strength increases as their beast state progresses.

High Metabolic Rate

It's no secret that Aisha can really chow down. Just about anybody would love to do that with no apparent consequences. It's not as simple as that, however. Given the chance you'd think she'd become a world-class professional eater out of choice. Well, that's not entirely true. This metabolism has a caveat...
