THE CTARL-CTARL
Although humanity has managed to establish trade treaties with the Ctarl-Ctarl,
it would be a stretch to say that Ctarl-Ctarls and Terrans (an
important note is that the Ctarl-Ctarl prefer to use the word "Terran" and we'll
use "human" for the rest of this article) are on good terms. For that
reason we still don't know a lot about them. As for what we do... let's
begin.
History
This is an area we probably know the least
about. Before Gene Starwind fought Shimi, Aisha Clanclan prepared a
stew that she claimed would have helped Gene build his strength before
the battle. Although she missed the opportunity to give him the stew
(he'd have probably died if she had) she did explain its origins.
It's called Gejidabo stew which according to Aisha has been cooked even
since the first year of the Ctarl-Ctarl calendar, which must have been
a very long time before they ventured into space. We're told in one of
the episode intros that in the Ctarl-Ctarl homeworld lies ancient ruins
called Orogoriya. Although we only saw one picture, it's an interesting
design made of various materials which suggests the Ctarl-Ctarl were
highly skilled sculptors throughout their history.
The fact that a Ctarl-Ctarl competitor killed
almost one thousand
people and seriously wounded over five thousand at a Universal
Strongmen Tournament is a legitimate reason why many humans may show
disdain towards them. However, some may consider it an isolated
incident since the Ctarl-Ctarl usually keep their physical states in
check and attacks are usually unintended once a Ctarl-Ctarl enters a
"beast state". (This is explained further on.) We should also consider
that Ctarl-Ctarl can regularly be found interacting with humans. An
example is a Ctarl-Ctarl pole dancer shown at a Blue Heaven nightclub.
Therefore, although humanity and the Ctarl-Ctarl were never on good
terms it's clear that the two races are now working towards friendly
relations.
